First half figures indicate that throughput at the southern Chinese port of Shenzhen, the world’s fourth-largest, will top 15 mill TEU this year, boosted by the country’s booming exports. In the first six months, Shenzhen terminals handled 7.43 mill TEU, up 22.8 per cent over the same period of last year.
