FUC sets sights on rail freight market

Following a European tender, Italian regional rail operator Ferrovie Udine Cividale (FUC) has awarded a €3M contract for 35 intermodal flatcars to Polish wagon builder Europejskie Konsorcjum Kolejowe.

The order comprises 20 90ft flats for containers or swap bodies and 15 60ft container flats. The 90ft units will be delivered in November and the 60fts will follow later. All are rated at 25t-120 kph axle load.
