Choctaw Point moves ahead

Alabama State Port Authority (ASPA) has issued a Request for Expression of Interest (RFEI) for its proposed two-berth, four-crane Choctaw Point container terminal to be built at the Port of Mobile. ASPA wants to identify prospective terminal operators and developers, either for lease of or capital investment in the planned facility, which will include a separate intermodal rail yard.
