The Australian Federal Government is pushing ahead with its ambitious plan for a new double-stack intermodal line running 1,700 km from Melbourne to Brisbane.

Following an international competitive tender, Hyster has reported an order from Australian rail operator Pacific National (PN), part of Asciano, for 31 big trucks – 21 reach stackers, five masted container handlers, two 48t FLTs and three dedicated steel handling 18t FLTs.
