Korean software developer Total Soft Bank Ltd (TSB) is developing a cloud-based version of its stowage planning application, CASP.

Korea-based Total Soft Bank (TSB) has implemented its Container Handling Equipment Supervisor System (CHESS) optimisation software at Guangzhou South China Oceangate Container Terminal (GOCT) in Nansha, China. GOCT handled 4.5M TEU in 2013 and has been using TSB’s CATOS TOS since 2007. In July 2012 it began a project to reduce yard truck deployment by using software to reduce empty travelling distances, introduce double cycling and optimise internal truck deployment.

Freeport Malta is now using a telematics system to provide information on vehicle location for yard planning purposes to its Navis TOS, and on machine condition to its IBM Maximo maintenance and fleet management software.

As part of its concession, Cosco is expanding Pier II and developing a new Pier III to increase annual capacity from 1.6M TEU to 3.7M TEU by 2015.
