Ancash Regional Port Authority (APR) in Peru has received a proposal from local company Micheport Almacenes Generales SAC to operate Chimbote Port Terminal under a 30-year concession, with a total investment of around US$240M. If the proposal is accepted, most of the spending would be to replace or modernise the port’s infrastructure, which Micheport considers inadequate.
