New dry port for Namibia

Plans to turn the Namibian port of Walvis Bay into a transit port for Southern Africa have received another boost with the announcement by the government of Zambia that it will construct a dry port there. A delegation of Zambian officials visited the port at the end of June to begin drawing up plans for the new facility.
