Management of the Port of Melbourne and the Port of Hastings is to be integrated as part of a Victorian government strategy to ensure co-ordinated future development. Hastings, located on Western Port Bay, south east of the capital city port, has been owned by a separate statutory corporation since the mid 1990s but privately-managed, most recently by Asciano’s Patrick.
