Launched with considerable fanfare in September 2011, Maersk Line has quietly abandoned its premium “Daily Maersk” service. It seems that after more than three years of trying, and given the intensely competitive liner shipping market, not enough customers were prepared to pay the higher freight rates for the guaranteed delivery times it offered.
