CIMC profits dive by 43% on weak demand

China International Marine Containers (CIMC) saw first quarter earnings fall 43% as excess supply undercut prices and demand for new containers. CIMC posted profit of CY517.77M (US$65M) for the three months ended March, down from CY914.45M in the same period of 2005, while turnover fell 33% to CY5.5B.
