Freightliner could move operations to accommodate Manchester United
NewsUK rail operator Freightliner is in negotiations with Manchester United to allow the football club to annex their intermodal terminal for expansion plans.
A new £6M fresh produce terminal, Liverpool Produce Terminal (LPT), is to be built in Liverpool alongside the Royal Seaforth Container Terminal and the site of the port’s planned £100M post-Panamax River Container Terminal. The new facility, says the port, will offer a cost effective allwater alternative to the 300 trucks arriving in Britain with fruit from Spain every day.
