Metro Ports into Prince Rupert

Metro Ports Canada, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nautilus International Holding Corp, has signed an agreement with Pinnacle Renewable Energy to operate its new wood pellet export terminal at Prince Rupert in British Columbia.

The new facility – Westview Terminal – is designed to consolidate wood pellets received by rail into silos for export. Built at a cost of C$42M, it includes a private rail siding, a high-speed railcar unloading system, safety and monitoring systems, and a shiploader capable of loading Panamax vessels up to 75,000 dwt at a rate of up to 2,000 tph.
